دراسة تأثير الانعكاسية على الكفاءة الكمية للخلايا الشمسية من نوع CdS/CdTe

Abstract

This work includes a theoretical study to the effect of reflectance(R)on Quantum Efficiency (QE) of CdS/CdTe solar cell and designs antireflection coating for incident wave on solar cell to reduced the lost energy which caused by reflection. Many designs were suggested by adding MgF2 layer under and above CdS/CdTe solar cell deposited on a glass substrate, Reflectance of designs were calculated depending on Characteristic Matrix theory, and then values of QE for suggested designs were compared with the previous results when (R=0) to obtain optimum design of a highest value of (QE). It was found that the best design when MgF2 layer was precipitated above CdS/CdTe solar cell in which the value of QE reach up to (0.86) and depletion width equal to (W= 2.69µm).
