Study the Matching of the Level of Electromagnetic Radiation Emitted by Communication Towers in the Kut City with the International Health organization criterion

Abstract

The rapid growth of using mobile communication systems creates the query of how the level of the power density of emitted power from the towers of rural phones matching the international standards of the effect of the level on the human beings. This paper aims to investigate the level of the radio frequencies (RF) power density of transmitted power from antennas of rural communication in AL-Kut city. Many sites were selected to measure the power density of the emitted power from base stations antennas of rural phone systems. These measurements were done in all antenna regions. Practical measurements of the maximum power density that may emit by the base stations achieved by using selective Radiation Meter (SRM-3006) for safety measurements in electromagnetic fields. The measurements were compared with the international standards (the International Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection) ICNIRP (and The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC)). All the results were come positive (i.e. the level of power density matched to the international standards).
