Rentier Iraqi economy and the need to diversify sources of income after 2003

Abstract

The diversification of the Iraqi sources of income has been made a necessity, especially in light of the decline in global oil prices since 2014, under the light of the continued reliance unilateral oil and financial returns in the financing of Iraqi budgets which dominated by the nature of rent-seeking, which necessitated the search for alternative sources of founding away about the dominance of oil revenues and the risk that the continued reliance on these returns without activating the rest of the other sectors of the economy to play its part in financing the Iraqi annual budgets
