Seventies Generation and the problem of determining the artistic pioneering of Iraqi novel -A critical historical study-

Abstract

The art of writing novels constitutes the suitable place to contain human experiences, collectively and individually. In addition, it is considered the most fertile art output and the most elegant to bear the new ideas. It also has deep effects on readers, to the extent that it may change the viewpoints of people towards life in general. The qualitative development witnessed by the Iraqi society after World War II has played an effective role in clarifying the viewpoints of modern novels' writers (ideas), particularly in the seventeenth whether in shape or in structure.During the second half of the twentieth century, this development helped to achieve a new direction in art that led to the birth of a distinguished novel output. A huge ability in achieving a precise analysis and healthy thinking ha been appeared among novel writers, though some others have remained far behind. As a matter of fact, there has been an effective collaboration between (the artistic and historic facts) on the road to achieve a decisive art product, and to realize the (secret) laws that govern the special facts and factors of well-known novel outputs, in particular.Today, as an example, we are witnessing such collaboration, to the extent that we may consider today's novel writers as the pioneering generation in the formulation of art, both implicitly and explicitly.
