Abstract

The study aims to identify the relationship between phonological awareness and the accuracy and speed of reading in primary school students. In order to achieve this goal, the researcher selected 288 students by Sample of random for equal allocation. To measure this goal, the phonological awareness test and the accuracy and speed of reading was constructed. The results refer that students have phonological awareness, accuracy and speed of reading, and there are differences on the phonological awareness and accuracy and speed of reading according to the gender & reading efficiency variables.
