Psychological Flow and its Relationship with The Psychological Flexibility of University Professors

Abstract

The current research aims to reveal the level of psychological flow and psychological flexibility among university professors, and to identify the differences between the two research variables for (gender, length of service, scientific specialization).The research sample (400) professors and professors at the University of Tikrit were distributed equally, and to achieve the research objectives the researcher built two measures to measure psychological flow, And the other for the measurement of psychological flexibility, which applied all the psychometric characteristics applied in the construction osf standards.To achieve the objectives of the research and processing statistically, The researcher used several statistical methods, including: Kay square (Ka 2), The percentage, T-test for two independent samples, Pearson correlation coefficient, Alpha Cronbach coefficient, Herbert Aken equation, The research reached several results, including: The existence of statistically significant differences in the case of psychological flow among university professors, Depending on the specialization variable, and in favor of scientific specialization, And the existence of differences statistically significant in the case of psychological flow and psychological flexibility among university professors, Depending on the length of service and service period (10 years and more).The absence of differences between university professors in the case of psychological flow and psychological flexibility depending on the gender variable. There are no differences between university professors in psychological flexibility depending on the specialization variable. At the end of his research, the researcher reached a set of conclusions and recommendations.
