The Impact of Social Networking Sites in The Academic Level of Students in the Preparatory Stage | Field Social Study in Schools of Education Nineveh

Abstract

Social networking sites have had a great impact on the rules of freedom of publication, expression of opinion and human rights. Social networking sites have had a different effect on education and on the level of students. The aim of this study is to identify the impact of social networking sites at the level of students in Nineveh schools in Nineveh Governorate, the study of teachers and teachers in the schools of education Nineveh was selected a random sample of 140 teachers and schools.One of the main findings of the study is that a large percentage of students in Nineveh schools in Iraq use social networking sites, especially Facebook and YouTube sites, to play an effective role in influencing the level of students, and the contribution of social networking sites to the positive impact on students at Nineveh schools through good use, To facilitate communication with students, to enrich and discuss their lessons, to encourage dialogue, to obtain additional and valuable information in the field of education, and to facilitate communication with teachers.The social networking sites have a negative impact on the level of students through the period in which they use these sites in the performance of their tasks and homework and homework exercises, and worked to activate social isolation; which led to sleep in school classes and during the study because of fatigue and exhaustion because of the long time they sit in front of the communication sites Social, and work to distract the mind and low level of education through addiction, and work to reduce the use of fluent Arabic.Among the recommendations of the study is to work on the importance of transferring education from competitive to integrative by engaging in dialogue and information, using new methods to enhance participation and communication among learners, and avoiding wasting time sitting on sites without interest through awareness workshops for parents to monitor their children's actions and follow-up With teachers.
