Abstract

Egypt is one of the most important countries in the Middle East region and its axis in the Arab region because of its regional influence in the process of security stability, and this role makes regional and international forces seek to establish relations with them, especially major powers such as the United States and Russia are both competing for influence in the Middle East, After the Arab revolutions that took place in 2011 These events paved the way for Russia to develop its relations with Egypt in all aspects of political, economic and security, taking advantage of tension in US-Egyptian relations, especially after the overthrow of President Mohamed Morsi in July 2 013The importance of the study stems from an attempt to understand the nature of the Egyptian-Russian rapprochement after 2013. President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi took power in 2014 and the motives for the development of relations between the two countries under the current regional and international conditions. The problem of the study stems from a fundamental point: Is the Russian-Egyptian relations built on the basis of the strategic alliance, or are temporary relations imposed by the regional and international conditions in the Middle East with the deterioration of US-Egyptian relationsThe hypothesis of the study is that Russian-Egyptian relations will be based on cooperation in all fields to achieve their common goals and interests, but Egypt can not move away from the United States because of its influence on Egyptian politicsThe methodology of the study was the focus of this study on the method of systemic analysis as a means to understand the nature of Russian-Egyptian relations at a specific stage and the descriptive approach was used to understand the dimensions of the next phase of their relations
