Abstract

Despite the importance of many factors and characteristics which owned by any country in its position and influence in the surroundings of regional and international, which remain geographical biggest challenge that cannot be exceeded in the cases of strengths and limitations, thus the isolation and collar oceans of the United States provided immunity against many military challenge. However, the isolation and limited outlets tired a lot of ports of countries and made it bow to concessions to the less small countries.Iraq, for instance, has a strategic location in relation to the three continents; even the importance of this location but it is limited because of the influence undiminished tongue maritime narrow and limited. It does not has a coastline nautical commensurate with the size and location and its economic needs. Since oil represents the main source for Iraqi economy, and the oil exporting depend the marine ports, thus Iraq must for new options to expand the area of mobility and activity of marine urgent necessity.
