Abstract

The Levels of Reflection Thinking among Secondary School StudentsAbstract: The present research aims Detecting (The Levels of Reflection Thinking among Secondary School Students). to achieve this, the researcher began the scientific steps of translation and adaptation (RTQ) for Kember and his colleagues (Kember et al., 2000). After the logical analysis and the validity of the scale and its suitable to the local environment, specifically the sample of the research, the scale was applied to the sample of the study (400) students, selected by the researcher in the stratified random sampling of fifth grade students preparatory male and female scientific and literary branches. After conducting statistical analyzes to determine the psychometric properties of the items and the totally scale, all items were retained. Therefore, the researcher adopted the same data to achieve the objectives of the study. In the light of the objectives, the results showed: that the respondents have a general level of reflective thinking above the average. There is a statistically significant correlation between reflective thinking and gender, but according to Coefficient of determination, this correlation is weak. There is also a statistically significant correlation between the reflective thinking and the study branch, according to Coefficient of determination, this correlation is moderate and the correlation is moderate. The results showed that there were statistically significant differences in the levels of reflection thinking among students of scientific and literary branches, and for scientific students. While there were no statistically significant differences between male and female of levels thinking
