Hydrological evaluation of the Mosul Dam reservoir and its relationship to saline concentration.

Abstract

Hydrological studies constitute one of the most important geographical studies concerned with hydrology and that the Mosul Dam Reservoir is one of the largest dams in Iraq, which is located northwest of Mosul, that the aim of the study is to know the impact of salt concentrations on the hydrology of the Mosul Dam Reservoir and what is the relationship of rain and rock awareness to the reservoir floor with concentrations Saline. The hypothesis came that the bottom of the reservoir had an effect on leakage of levels and consequently its decrease. The rainy capacity was extracted to the study area, and the study proved that it occurred within the areas of weak and moderate rain induction and that the highest intensity of rain erosion reached (123) in 1991
