a study of the phenomenon of "narcissism" from the standpoint of genetic stylistics. "Case Study of Nizar Qabbani's love poetry

Abstract

genetic stylistics is an authoritative approach and its main goals are to find the personality of the author through the study of style or his linguistic structures in literary text. One of the psychological phenomena put in every human being and is one of his most important personal desires is narcissism (love for oneself) and since this phenomenon has a high frequency in Nizar Qabbani's love poetry, Therefore, this article has tried to study this phenomenon using the method of stylistics and descriptive-analytical method. The main purpose of writing this article, in addition to characterizing narcissistic effects, is the emergence of Nizar's style in expressing semantic meanings. The conclusion of this research suggests that Nizar has often used repetition modes and the words of the name, especially the infinite alternation, rather than the description to prove narcissism, to increase exaggerations and emphasis in their self-esteem. The authoritarianism of the poet was one of the most stylistic features of his narcissism since the frequency of this technique, which was removed from the flint method, made it a stylistic sample.
