Synthesis and Characterization of Some New 1,3-Oxazepine-4,7-dione Derivatives Via Schiff’s Bases With Studying Some of Their Biological Activity

Abstract

The research includes synthesis of some new derivatives of 1,3-oxazepine-4,7- dionering from the reactions of 2- (4-chlorophenyl)-5-hydrazinyl-1,3,4-oxadiazole [4] with diversesubstituted benzaldehydes in absolute ethyl alcohol as a solvent and presence of icyacetic acid as a catalyst to form Schiff’s bases [5-10 ]. The prepared new Schiff’s bases (5-10) reacted with phthalic anhydride , 3-nitrophthalic anhydride , and maleic anhydride indry benzene to give seven membered ring ( oxazepine ring ) [26 -42] in good yields. The prepared compounds were characterized by spectral methods : FT.IR , and1HNMR for compounds [37,42] , besides melting points were recorded , and the purenesswas checked through T.L.C. technicality. Antibacterial activity for some of the synthesizedcompounds were examined
