These events may lead to mental disorders caused by exposure to traumatic events. The current research aims to identify 1- The level of the direction towards suicide among university students 2- Statistical differences in the direction towards suicide among university students according to the gender variable. 3- Statistical differences in the direction towards suicide among university students, according to the variable of the stage. 4- The pressures of the traumatic life of the university students. 5- Statistical differences in the stress of life stress for university students according to the gender variable. 6- Statistical differences in the stresses of life shocking among university students, according to the stage variable. 7- Knowing the nature of the correlation between the direction towards suicide and the stress of life for university students. The research was limited to Tikrit University students for the academic year (2018-2019). The research sample included (100) male and female students distributed by sex and stage. To achieve the research goals, the researchers prepared the following measures: 1- A measure of the direction towards suicide 2- Shock stress scale The validity and reliability of the measures were verified, and the data were statistically processed using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (Spss). The results showed the following: 1- University students do not have a direction towards suicide 2- There are no statistically significant differences in the level of direction towards suicide among the sample members according to the sex variable carried over. 3- University students enjoy a high level of the stress of life 4- There are no statistically significant differences in the level of traumatic life stresses among the respondents according to the gender and stage variable. 5- There is a statistically significant correlation between the two variables, the direction towards suicide and the stress of life. In light of the results, the researchers reached a set of recommendations and proposals
