The Manners of Judicature to Judge Ibn Daqiq Al-Eid (625-- 702 AH / 1227-1-1303AD)

Abstract

Islam has built the judiciary on perfect foundations and valid systems, and it brought to people judges who established justice in system, and prescribed firmness in implementation and manners of dealing with cases. Justice is the ultimate of what human beings should do. Judge Ibn Daqiq Al-Eid, by virtue of his wisdom, morals, conduct and knowledge, could retain the spirit of justice, which is done only by those who follow the right teachings in the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Messenger. He was one of the most famous Arab and Muslim judges in the Mameluke era in Egypt. He is known by wide knowledge, education, and good behaviour. As he was a judge, he studied and, then, wrote many books. Due to these reasons, this paper is written to probe into all these issues.
