Difficulties In Using Modern Teaching Strategies And Models From The Point Of View Of Secondary School Teachers

Abstract

The aim of the current research is to identify the difficulties faced by history teachers in the use of modern school strategies and models from their point of view for the secondary schools in Baghdad governorate, in addition to knowing the effect of gender variables (male and female) and years of teaching experience (short of 1-10 years, 40 years) in school responses to the history of these difficulties. In order to achieve this, the researcher used the descriptive approach as the appropriate method for the current research, and the selection of the randomized stratified form of study in (145): (39) males and (106) females from the current research society of history teachers. The researcher also prepared a questionnaire consisting of (49) paragraphs divided into four areas: (teacher, school administration, educational supervision, school environment, curriculum, curriculum) and presented to (17) arbitrator and expert in order to know the truth by calculating the percentage of each paragraph (81%), which is a good coefficient of high stability, and then applied to the final research sample and extract the weighted mean and percentage weight for the interpretation of the results, by knowing the severity of each paragraph in the questionnaire, In addition to extracting the arithmetic mean The standard deviation for the application of T test and the knowledge of the effect of gender variables (male and female) and years of teaching experience (short of 11 years and 11 to 40 years) in school responses to these difficulties. Based on the above, the current research has reached a number of results:1. The field of the school environment and the descriptive class has obtained the first rank in identifying the difficulties faced by the history teachers when using the modern teaching strategies and models, followed by the field of the curriculum, then the field of the teacher and finally the field of school administration and educational supervision.2. There were no significant differences at the level of (0,05) between the average grade of teachers of history according to variables, gender (male and female) and years of teaching experience (short of 1-10 years and longer than 11 40 years). In light of the results of the current research, the researcher came out with a set of conclusions and recommendations he made in the light of the results and proposals that he adopted to complete the current research in the future
