Using Posters to improve the learning of English as a second Language to the University of Technology's students


Abstract This paper aims to explore whether the use of poster presentations facilitates learning English as a second language. The study was conducted with first year undergraduate students of Production and Metallurgy Department at the University of Technology in 2017-2018 academic year. There were 64 students and two groups (experiential and control). A pre and post-test was done to them and results were collected and analyzed in order to know the effectiveness of using posters in teaching the English language. So this paper will give an insight to the language teachers of using posters to facilitate teaching language skills to the students. The findings of the study shows that using posters will help the language teachers to teach language skills better and show the effectiveness of using it in the classroom.
