Obstacles to using information technology in teaching Arabic language courses in the Department of Arabic Language at the College of Basic Education / University of Diyala from the students ’viewpoint

Abstract

AbstractThe research aims to identify the obstacles of using information technology in teaching Study materials of Arabic in the Department of Arabic in the College of Basic Education / University of Diyala from the perspective of students. The researchers followed the descriptive approach (questionnaire) to identify the following:1.Detecting the obstacles of using the information technology that students face in the courses of subjects in the Arabic language department in the College of Basic Education / Diyala University.2.Detection of individual differences between the students' responses to the study tool related to the obstacles of using information technology according to the gender variable (male and female students).The questionnaire consists of (31) paragraphs about the obstacles of the use of information technology in teaching Arabic language materials in the Department of Arabic at the College of Basic Education / University of Diyala. The researchers based on the triple scale to answer the paragraphs (a big reason، a medium reason، a small reason)، and the research sample consisted of the third stage students in the Department of Arabic Language in the Faculty of Basic Education and the number (176) students (68) students and (108) The sample was for the academic year(2018/2019). The study aims seeks to answer the following questions:1.What are the obstacles of using information technology in teaching Arabic language in the Department of Arabic in the College of Basic Education / University of Diyala from the students' point of view?2.Are there any statistically significant differences at the level of (05.0) between the means of students' answers، which are related to the obstacles of using information technology in teaching Arabic language subjects in the Arabic language department in the College of Basic Education / University of Diyala due to the sex variable (male and female students) ?The researchers distributed the questionnaire to students in the second semester of the academic year (2018/2019). The researchers used the following statistical methods:1.T-test for one sample.2.T-test for two independent samples.3.Mean arithmetic.4.Standard deviation.5.Weighted mean.6.Percentage weight.7.Alpha Kronbachs After analyzing the results and treating them statistically، the research reached to the following:•Poor use of information technology in the Department of Arabic Language in the College of Basic Education، according to students' answers. The researchers recommended a number of matters، including:•The need to provide educational equipment and materials that belong to information technology and enough to be used in the teaching of Arabic language materials in the Department of Arabic at the Faculty of Basic Education. The researchers suggested a number of matters، including:Conducting studies in the development of humanities curricula in the use of information technology.
