THE EFFECT OF SPRINKLER IRRIGATION ON WHEAT PRODUCTION (CASE STUDY FOR A SPECIFIC FARM) IN SALAH AL-DIN GOVERNORATE FOR THE PRODUCTION SEASON 2019.

Abstract

The research aims to study and estimate the production fuction and the optimum area for sprinkler irrigation systems of 120 dons and the economic efficiency and economies of scale achieved, as Salah al-Din Governorate was chosen as an applied model for the study and to know the impact of sprinkler irrigation on the productivity of the crop in the governorate using the long-term cost function, the study demonstrated that the axial sprinkler The category of 120 dons has achieved excellent productivity and low fixed costs of production with the expansion of cultivated areas. The total cost function was estimated in the short term for the wheat crop for the productive season 2019. Several models were adopted in estimating the total cost function using three forms of cost functions (linear, quadratic, cubic) and found that the cubic model is the most appropriate for the relationship approved in research, according to economic tests Statistical and Standard. The optimum size of production for the infantry class was (120 dons) under study (1674 kg / dons). As for the best area that can be used for the pedestrian class (120 dons) is (112 dons), the average total costs when the optimum size of the achieved production is (207 thousand dinars) / Don), and the realized yield reached (934) thousand dinars, the ratio of the net realized yield reached (727) thousand dinars per acre planted with wheat crop. The percentage of working farms within the savings region (87%) of the total sample farms surveyed, while working farms within the economies of savings (13%), and the economic efficiency achieved for wheat farms in Salahuddin Governorate (93%), and then the resources under study You have achieved the greatest production without wasting costs in excess of the need, and the modified determination coefficient reached (96%), and this indicates the possibility of increasing production by (4%) without the need for additional resources but rather the availability of available resources, i.e. increasing the production by (67 kg / don) So that the productivity of the cultivated don will become (1741 kg/don), and based on the above, the study recommends Agriculture through the adoption Almrchah category (120 acres) being achieved to maximize production with the minimization of costs and do not waste the resources available, making the output is not loaded redundant cost.
