The role of missionaries in instilling sectarianism in the East Lebanon a case study

Abstract:The arrival of religious missions to the levant in general and Lebanon in particular has increased since the 16th century after the signing of the Franco – Ottoman Treaty between the Ottoman Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent and the King of France Francois I if missionary missions play an active role in most of the developing world,the missionaries enter these countries as ambassadors of mercy and pity expressing their religion in the best way.And methods to educate people on the Christian or Jewish religion and keep them away from the Islamic religion through their work in building churches and schools toeducate people spread Religion and these activities were associated with colonial goals,whether political,economic or cultural.
