OF USING FLAXSEED OIL AND SOYBEAN OIL IN PRODUCTION PERFORMANCE AND EGG QUALITY OF BROILER BREADERS HENS

Abstract
The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of using flax seed oil, soybean oil and their mixture (plant sources of omega-3), on some productive performance and eggs quality of broiler breeder eggs. This study was conducted at the field of animal resources dept.- College of Agriculture-University of Salahaddin in Erbil, for the duration period 11/1/2013 until 28/2/2014. The study included 180 female and 36 male of broiler breeder Ross-308 at 33 weeks old ,The groups were as follows : T1 (control) 3% sunflower oil, T2: 3% flaxseed oil, T3: 3% soybean oil and T4: mix of (1.5% flaxseed oil +1.5% soybean oil), the diets were contain similar level, of energy and protein The results showed significantly increases (p ≤ 0.05) in the percentage of egg production (HD%), eggs weight ,egg mass ,feed conversion ratio (FCR), egg shape index, normal eggs for hatching, the percentage of broken eggs and the percentage of intact eggs yolk index, albumin: yolk ratio, Haugh unit, yolk color, egg shell strength and Thickness egg shell for the treatments of Omega-3 added compared with T1
