Abstract

Great importance of communication in our lives at all levels, including the press as one of the communication to the press a variety of roles and functions, and function of journalism is to help individuals and to facilitate them in order to escape from the tension and alienation, and one of the important functions that are emotional or of the individual functions of the press and the media, it is depends on the individual's sense of itself and by individual, so one of the important functions of the press about the people, while living in the community of more than competitive, economic and technological rise of political conflicts in the world and the changing needs of daily life, as well as the pressures of society and the family, which presents the individual ongoing tensions and alienation, so people resort to the media to reduce the state of alienation in which they live, and this gives us a clear role of the press, the press has become a large, multi-role attitudes in our lives.
Study is divided into five chapters n the first chapter contains a presentation of the problem and the importance of research and its goals, and limitations and terms used, Chapter II discusses previous studies, and Chapter III presents the research methodology and steps followed to choose the study sample and the community, and building the tool and its sincerity to the test, and statistical tools used , and Chapter IV examines the results of the study through statistical tables that have been drawn, and the percentage that gave us clear answers to specific questions about the study, and achieved its objectives, and Chapter V reviews the discussion of the results of the analysis and draw conclusions, and make recommendations in this study by the researcher may contribute to the development of the work of the press in this aspect.
