Revelation among Orientalists and Modernists Contemporary Study

Abstract

The topic of revelation, and the way in which the prophets received divine instructions from heaven are among the important topics, which Orientalist studies have discussed in detail, in an effort to challenge the truth of the divine source of revelation, and thus to challenge the prophecy of our noble Prophet (may God bless him and God and peace)); So they tried to explain the phenomenon of revelation with many interpretations, such as making it stem from the Prophet’s own thought, or by being influenced by the external environment, or receiving from rabbis and monks, and this thought of the Orientalists agreed with that of some modernists, Those who followed the same previous curriculum as they added new interpretations to adapt to the modern era. Therefore, the research came in an attempt to respond to some of these suspicions and refute them with mental and moral evidence. The nature of the research required that it be based on two topics: the first of which stood on explaining the concept of revelation and its importance, and ways of its descent in the Noble Qur’an, in order for us to know the meanings of this term and how to deal with those meanings that may be consistent or inconsistent with the contemporary approach to the study of revelation. The second topic details the suspicions of the contemporary approach in the study of Orientalism and Modernists.
