Ethics of Public Relations Practitioners in Iraqi Universities – (A survey of workers in universities, Baghdad, Wasit, and Tikrit).

Abstract

The ethics of the public relations profession is an important area of knowledge that requires a degree of systematic study and organized expertise to provide a set of sound ethical principles and principles that guarantee the institution's continuity in achieving its goals. Public relations in Iraqi universities to the ethics of the profession), and therefore sought to achieve the following objectives:Disclosure of the commitment of public relations practitioners in Iraqi universities to the ethics of the profession .Identify the professional and ethical qualities of public relations practitioners in Iraqi universities. Identify the main factors and reasons that influence the formation of decisions of public relations practitioners to break the commitment to the ethics of the profession . The researcher used the survey method to reach the desired results. The questionnaire was used as a tool for collecting primary data, distributed to all employees in the public relations agencies in the universities (under study) in a comprehensive inventory method. The research reached a number of results. In the Iraqi universities in terms of professional and moral qualities, and enjoy a high level of recognition and commitment to the ethics of the profession. The reasons and factors such as (poor salaries, work pressure, lack of interest, lack of awareness, lack of specialization ...) do not affect the formation of ethical decisions for practitioners
