The psychological existentialism of Educational Counselors at the secondary schools

Abstract

The aim of the current study is to identify psychological existentialism of the educational supervisors in the secondary schools. - This research is defined to the educational counselors in the secondary school of Diyala General Directorate of Education / the morning studies / 2018-2019. To achieve the goals of this research, we used the descriptive method and the sample consisted of (207) male counselors in these secondary schools. The two researchers adapted the psychological existentialism scale ( Al-Dori, 2019) which is consisted of (36) item , and they are showed to a group of psychology and education arbiters and the scale became (20) items. The experts confirmed the appropriateness of this scale to be applied and in this way, the face validity was achieved. Whereas the reliability cab be found by two ways: spilt-half reliability when it reached (0.86) and Alpha-Cronbach (0.90). - The following statistical media were used: (One sample T test, Independent two samples T test, Chi square, Pearson correlation coefficient , Spearman Brown Prophecy Formula , Alpha-Cronbach equation). The recent results of this research showed the following: The educational councilor in the secondary schools that addition to Diyala General Directorate of Education suffer from the decrease of the psychological existentialism. The researchers attribute it to many causes that explained in the results chapter. According to these results, the researchers presented a number of suggestions and recommendations.
