Adonis (Arabic Poetry Collection) choices between methodology and application

Abstract

Adonis deliberately made to poetic choices from ancient and modern Arabic poetry in one book out of four parts, which he called (The Divan of Arabic Poetry), subjecting these choices to his modernist critical vision, according to what he approved of the theorizing of modern criticism, transmitted in his books that he authored. We decided to examine what contradicts his ideas and theorems from these anthologies, or what was not committed to methodological accuracy in composition, from an intellectual point of view and applying the Indonesian vision to the selected texts, the most important of which are: not explaining to the divan to clarify its views on implementation, and to show that these ideas have origin Western, influenced by Adonis, and the possibility of the text being referred to open interpretation, so no reader can apply what Adonis wants, and his interest in ambiguity, and that his choices are subject to his taste, and have been characterized by being subject to increase, and that some of his choices carry religious and political ideas. The methodology, the most important of which is: it relied on the opinions of the ancients in understanding poetry, and that it deletes and arranges the verses without the mentioned rules or theorizing based on it, and also the curriculum is distinguished by its inaccuracy in the ratio of texts to their owners, and the reader finds it difficult to prove their proportion.
