Abstract
Parental Competence and its Relationship to Psychological Empowerment of Academic StudentsThe present study shows the level of parental competence and psychological empowerment among university students. In addition, it displays the relation between parental competence and psychological empowerment. In the study, The researcher depends on the parental competency scale and the psychological structures. The the study selects the students of the College of Education in Wasit University for the academic year (2019-2020). The sample of study contains (400) students (male & female). They select by random way among 14,000 students(male & female). Hence, the data analyzed statistically by using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences program. (SPSS). The findings of study show the following:1.Academic students in Wasit governorate enjoy parental competence.2.Academic students in Wasit governorate have psychological capabilities.3.There is a positive statistically significant correlation between the two research variables, parental competence and psychological empowerment.4.The researcher developed a set of recommendations and suggestions based on the results of the current research
