Abstract

This paper attempt to explain the main features of the situation of the official education in Kirkuk during 1810-1914. This paper concentrates on attempts of reform took place in the OHomani country, precisely that deal with education. As in the other Iraqi cities, Kirkuk also lacks official school till the 1870. Due to this case the education was limited on establishing religious schools in addition the that of the other minorities which is discussed in official intermediate and primary school couer the great part of this paper. Besides to that the paper talked about the difficulties faced establishing this type of schools which affected in many ways the educational situation in this city.
