Semantic development of a set of psychological terms

Abstract

The study tries to shed light on some psychological terms and their development and monitor their linguistic roots as witnesses to what we say by multiplying many examples of what we studied of those original expressions as well as trying to uncover and monitor what these words have developed in their significance, and the psychological terminology is only one of many terms Among the sciences subject to the semantic development of expressions, the study of language has occupied scholars in the past and present, as this term initially denoted the bicycle dialect of a particular tribe, and the evidence for that is abundant. As long as it is in its meaning, and if it changes from that or the news is presented, it returns to the analogy. With regard to the semantic level, this study was concerned with the interest of students, as many theories emerged to study the meaning, the most prominent of which are: indicative theory, conceptual theory, behavioral theory, contextual theory, and others. The semantic development was one of the fields studied by linguists, as the language evolves to suit the mentality of the speakers, their environments, and their activities.
