The Role of the Israeli Parliament (Knesset) in Israel's Foreign Policy towards the Arab Ring States (1977-1984).

Abstract

The Israeli parliament is the legislative authority of the State of Israel, and a watchdog to monitor the performance of the government because of the Knesset's broad powers approved by the Israeli Constitution. This led the parliament to play an important role in the formation of Israeli foreign policy toward the Arab countries in the period 1977-1984 because the Knesset directly affects the Israeli external decision-makers, despite the multiparty and varied trends of the political currents, Which is of interest to the State of Israel and not partisan interests
