The aesthetic response to stimuli and their relationships with psychological well-being At the University of Baghdad students

Abstract

Psychological well-being is one of the basic concepts in positive psychology as it is a goal of life due to its association with positive moods, self-acceptance and positive relationships with others, and it is related to the research variable aesthetic response to stimuli, so the current research is based on the following question: What is the nature of the relationship between the aesthetic response to stimuli and the psychological well-being of university students, positive or negative?As the current research aims to uncover the relationship between the aesthetic response to stimuli and the psychological well-being of Baghdad University students, and to verify the validity of this goal, (4) zero hypotheses related to the heterosexual, scientific and human specialization have been identified.The research community consisted of students of the third stage in the scientific and human colleges of the University of Baghdad for the academic year 2019-2020, as the total number of students in this stage reached (6871) male and female students for morning study by (3165) male and (3706) female students, and the number of students was distributed according to the two variables. Sex and scientific specialization, a random sample of (300) male and female students was chosen to apply the research procedures on them.The psychological well-being tool was designed and the selection (Graves) was adopted to measure the aesthetic response. After that, the two tools were applied to the research sample and were statistically treated to show the results reached by the research.
