Abstract

Art plays a major role in a person’s life after it has become a major language through which a person expresses his feelings and satisfies his needs, and conveys his ideas and his visions to the social surroundings, in order to achieve integration and adaptation to that milieu and thus success in the employment and development of his capabilities in a way that suits the needs and conditions of society. Thus, the aim of the research can be limited to revealing the aesthetic response to the theatrical show directed at the child. Its theoretical framework included two topics, the first: the intellectual abilities of the child as an input to achieve the aesthetic response, and the second topic: the child's theater and aesthetic reception. The current research procedure has included the descriptive analytical approach, and the research community has been the theatrical presentations presented at the Al-Husseini Festival for Child Theater in its fourth session, which was held in the city of Karbala for the year 2018. The sample of the research consisted of one theatrical performance that have been chosen randomly. It has indicated by analyzing the samples , the effect of visual perception in achieving the aesthetic response through the dependence of the presentations on the aesthetic stimulus achieved in the scenography and the impact of fashion and aesthetic decoration and lighting used to reflect the theatrical story environment, in addition to relying on texts stemming from the intellectual and cultural and intellectual structure of the community and being effected by its present rich themes of educational significance and human meanings .
