Abstract

Research aims to identify the attitudes of faculty members in Iraqi universities towards university women occupying leadership positions. The researcher followed the descriptive and analytical method by organizing a questionnaire that included, in addition to the personal information of the respondents, twenty-six questions to measure attitudes, which were sent to the research sample via e-mail and social media. The valid ones for analysis reached (850) questionnaires, and the data were analyzed using the statistical program SPSS. Vers. 25. The results showed a moderate general positive attitudes towards university women assuming leadership positions, and that there is a difference in attitudes according to the gender variable in favor of more positive females than males, and in favor of faculty members in public universities compared to private universities, as well as in favor of males compared to married, divorced man and divorced women compared to married couples. . In the end, some recommendations were presented that would improve attitudes towards university women assuming leadership positions.
