Evaluating the performance of a number of genotypes for the specific characteristics of the oat crop. Avena sativa L. under the influence of spraying with different concentrations of potassium

Abstract

This study was conducted to evaluate the performance of a number of genotypes for the specific traits of oats. Avena sativa L under the influence of spraying with different concentrations of potassium during the winter season (2019-2020) , According to the plot split system, within the design of complete random sections (R.C.B.D) with three replications, As the agricultural field was divided into three main plots, the main plots included the levels of foliar spraying on the plant with potassium element in the form of potassium sulfate 52% K2O and in three concentrations (0, 10 and 20) g. Liter-1 , And each sub-piece included thirteen genotypes of oats (Alguda, Anatolia, Pimula, Genzania, Hamel, Icarda short, Kangaroo, Icarda tall, Mitika, Possum, UC-132, Monte Zuma, and Cayuse) . Each sector contained (39) experimental units, on which the transactions were distributed to reconcile the studied factors randomly. The indicators of yield quality were studied as crude protein%, crude fiber%, soluble carbohydrates%, moisture content% and moisture%. he results of the study are summarized as follows: The genotype of Kangaroo was superior in traits: crude protein%, soluble carbohydrates%, moisture%, and ash percentage%, reaching (7.74)%, (51.40)%, (16.59)% and (2.66)%, respectively, while the genotype was (Icarda short) was superior in terms of crude fiber and reached (46.51)%, The spray concentration of potassium (20) g. Liter-1 was superior in all characteristics of crude protein%, crude fiber%, soluble carbohydrates%, moisture percentage%, and ash percentage%, which reached (5.52)% (44.87)%, (44.68)%, (14.28)% and (1.95)%, respectively, The interaction between the Kangaroo genotypes and the spray concentration with potassium (K2) was superior in most of the traits, which were crude protein%, soluble carbohydrates%, moisture content%, and ash percentage% which reached (8.37)%, (55.43)%, (18.31)% and (3.03)%, respectively , While the interaction between the genotype of Icarda short and the spray concentration of potassium (K2) gave the highest rate in the characteristic of crude fiber, reaching (52.36)%.
