Abstract

The paper deals with the regional interests of the emerging powers in the Red Sea (Turkey case study), The paper aims to know these international interests and their implications for the security of the Red Sea region. The importance of this paper is that it attempts to identify the strategic importance of Suakin Island from the Turkish perspective, and its role in serving Turkish interests in the Red Sea region. The problem of the paper is that it tries to shed light on the goals that Turkey seeks to achieve from the assumption of the administration of Suakin Island and its port, and how to benefit from this presence in strengthening and extending its regional influence in this region , The paper starts from the premise that Suakin Island plays a major role in serving Turkish interests in the Red Sea region.
