Cognitive development and its relationship to symbol development in children In light of Jean Piaget's theory.

Abstract

Abstract:The research procedures included clarification and presentation of the research community and its sample. The researcher also showed how to extract the validity and reliability of the tool while presenting the statistical means used in this, as the researcher reached the following:The most important conclusions:1. Children's drawings correspond to their cognitive development.2. The child, in his continuous interaction with the environment, tries to harmonize between his internal needs and the demands of his society.3. The child draws what he knows, not what he sees. Children differ in their expressions, i.e. the extent to which shapes are represented as symbols in their drawings relative to what is imprinted in their minds through their vision of the outside world.4. There is a link between the colors that children choose in their drawings and the nature of their characters.
