Abstract

The Philippines occupied an important strategic position for Japan, and its domination became necessary for the continuation of the Japanese expansion movement in Southeast Asia. Revealed one of the main reasons for the United States seeking to compete with Japan in order to obtain raw materials sources and large markets with high population and consumer density, which is what has turned the region of Southeast Asia in general; the Philippines in particular P to a zone of power struggle between Japan and the United States of America before the outbreak of World War II. the Philippines that started on the seventh of December 1941, and ended on the fifth of May 1942, as it was divided into three axes. The first axis provided a geographical and historical overview of the Philippines on the eve of World War II, and the second axis addressed the Japanese invasion The Philippines December 1941-May 1942, while the third axis concerned the popular position on the Japanese invasion of the Philippines.
