The slave trade between the Mamluks and the Europeans in the books of Aziz Suriel Attia - a critical historical study

Abstract

In our research entitled (The slave trade between Mamluks and Europeans in the books of Aziz Suriyal Attia - a critical historical study) we dealt with the meaning of slave language and idiom, how the Mamluk state was able to stand on the shoulders of these slaves brought from different places and nationalities, and about the role of European merchants in transporting them to Egypt. And because of the importance of this topic and its implications for the life of Mamluk society and the state, and the important historical events that accompanied that. Aziz Suriyal Attiyah wrote about him, explaining the emergence of the Mamluk state from these slaves, and the infamous trade that was taking place between the Mamluk sultans and European merchants to transport them to Egypt, which was in constant need of them.
