Abstract

The importance of the topic of the research, Syria’s position on the tripartite aggression against Egypt in 1956, stems from the reality of the historical stage covered by the study, which made Syria a hub for Arab political activity for those countries, all of these things made Syria an important center for Arab and international diplomacy and its moves in order to include Syria in this camp or that, which gave the subject scientific importance that is not hidden from those interested in studying the history of the homeland.The study was divided into three axes, the first axis included the developments of the internal situation in Egypt, the second axis: Syria's position on Egypt's nationalization of the Suez Canal. The third axis deals with the tripartite aggression against Egypt and Syria's position on it. That was when Syria sided with Egypt during the tripartite aggression against it in 1956. which as a result discovered the attempts of the United States of America to change the existing regime in Syria. Syria rejected Western projects, and began trying to find a way out by heading towards the socialist camp in an effort to strengthen its capabilities to maintain on its independence. Syria followed that towards unity with Egypt after the common destiny brought them together.
