Using social media platforms to spread extremist ideas (ISIS as a model).

Abstract

The study aimed to demonstrate the importance of social networking sites for extremist groups, especially ISIS, considering them as safe and secure virtual platforms to implement their ideological project, and then remarkably dedicated to exploiting these platforms to promote their nihilistic ideas and gain a degree of sympathy with them.Likewise, terrorist organizations have exploited all the communication opportunities offered by technology and artificial intelligence to implement their agenda of polarization, recruitment, and incitement, as they have demonstrated a steady experience in using the Internet and social networks, and even tamed their techniques and mechanisms to support terrorist action and glorify and perpetuate his ideas.
