Efficiency of the spatial distribution of telecommunication network services )Asiacell( in the city of Fallujah and its environmental impacts using GIS

Abstract

The research is summarized by studying the efficiency of the spatial distribution of the services of the Asiacell communication networks in the city ofFallujah and their environmental impacts by adopting geographic informationsystems. Its distribution is within the irregular scattered pattern and accordingto the value of the neighborly relationship (1.67) and the value of the standarddistance (10.3) km2 , As for the environment, the concentration of the towersin the city center reflected great health effects as a result of the electromagnetic rays emitted from those towers, exposing the population to headaches,high temperatures, nervous tension and high blood pressure for the residents,according to the distance and proximity to the call tower center. Also, the locations of these towers were not within the locally approved environmental determinants and standards, which exposes the population to the dangers of itsradiation, especially the educational services centers. The field study showedthat 14 middle schools, 4 health centers and one hospital were within the scopeof the health impact of these towers, which reflects the weak efficiency of thedistribution of the towers and their effects.
