Synthetic deletion and its semantic effect in the book Abath Al-Walid

Abstract

This study highlighted the positions of the letter and word omission in the Diwan of Abath Al-Walid Al-Buhturi, and it examined ten positions of letter omission, and four positions of word omission. This study conducted to search Almaary explanation about this omission and clarify the different ideas of grammarian about omission. The study concluded that deletion is a sign of eloquence and veneration and is linked to the meaning of the poet, and that most omissions are permissible and occur in abundance in the words of Arabs, and in the Book of God Almighty, such as omitting the addition (Ya) and omitting the interrogative hamza, as it concluded that some omissions in Diwan al-Buhturi very rare, such as deleting the Ya from the deficient added, and deleting (kam)
