Geographical features of economic variables of poverty and income levels in Kirkuk province

Abstract

The phenomenon of poverty is one of the most serious social problems within society, and it is caused by a number of demographic, social and economic variables, which leads to a decline in the level of some social groups and a severe deficiency in satisfying their necessary needs. This study aims to know and explain the levels of poverty in the governorate and to know the most important economic variables affecting the variation of these levels in the governorate for the period (2000-2021). Spatial variation of poverty levels in the study, leading to the development of a strategy to alleviate poverty. The researcher used an electronic questionnaire form and it was distributed to the sample community of (280) forms distributed over the study area by (151) urban forms and (129) rural forms to find out the extent of the relationship between economic variables and their impact on varying levels of poverty.
