Abstract

Sometimes the choice of Exponential distribution for studying failure rate in life testing will not be sufficient especially in cases when the failure rate increases or decreases, then the reliable choice for such situations may be Weibull failure model or Rayleigh failure model or Log Normal.The methodology of this research focused on the comparison between some of the well known Bayesian and non Bayesian method to estimate the scale parameter of Rayleigh distribution, these methods are Maximum Likelihood, Minimax estimator, Modified Bayesian, and Proposed Bayes under proposed logarithm loss function, and also to estimate the Reliability function by letting the shape parameter known.The Bayesian estimator for the parameter and for Reliability function is obtained for proposed loss function by using symmetric and a symmetric loss function and also logarithm loss function.An empirical study by designing number of simulation experiments using various levels of shape parameter, and sample sizes, with repetition of 1000 times for
