(MODELING OF SHORT AND LONG FATIGUE CRACKS GROWTH FOR STRUCTURAL STEEL ( DIN ST 52-3

Abstract

The current research deals with short and long fatigue cracks growth rate of structural steel (DIN st52-3) when a constant amplitude loading are applied for different stresses .Two main tasks are studies , The first task included a constant amplitude fatigue test of rotating bending type with a stress ratio (R=-1) in the laboratory condition , The fatigue limit value was found to be (195 MPa) . The second task include the study of fatigue cracks growth behavior for short and long cracks.
