Derivation of Analytical Expression for Mode-Coherence Coefficients of Uniform-Distributed Wave Propagating Within Different Media


A derivation of an analytical expression for the mode-coherence coefficientsof uniform-distributed wave propagating within different homogeneous media – asin case of hyperbolic Gaussian beams – was presented and a simple method ofsuperposition of two such beams was proposed. The results obtained from thiswork are highly-qualitative applicable in study and analysis of the propagation ofHermite-Gaussian beams especially in the problems of radiation-matter interactionand propagation of laser beam employed in modern free-space and fiber opticalcommunications.
