Abstract

Abstract The Effect Of Mental Training to Develop Some Sensory – Motor Perspective Variables On Learning Long Serve and Forehand Stroke In Badminton By Dr. Loay Al Bekri Aims of the research: 1. Identifying the effect of metal training on the development of learners abilities to sense time, strength and distance. 2. Identifying the effect of developing learner's ability to sense time, strength and distance on increasing the affectivity of long serve and forehand stroke in badminton. Hypotheses of research: 1. Mental training has positive effects on the learner's ability to sense time, strength and distance. 2. Developing the learner's ability has positive effect on sensing time, strength and distance on learning long serve and forehand stroke in badminton. Procedures: The researcher used the experimental method. The subjects were 20 female students of the third year students –college of physical education/ University of Baghdad. The subjects were divided into two groups; controlling and experimental groups. The controlling group used the traditional method while the experimental group used the proposed training program designed by the researcher. Conclusions: 1. Mental training program had a positive effect on developing some sensory – motor perception variables (time, strength and distance). 2. The learner's ability to sense time, strength and distance developed positively in increasing efficiently of learning the basic skills of badminton (long serves and forehand stroke). Recommendation : 1. The necessity of using mental training to develop sensory – motor ability to increase the efficiency of skill learning. 2. The necessity of using sensory – motor tests on physical education college students during application tests.
