Evaluation of Some Atomic Coefficients for Elements Carbon-Copper-Silver by Using Beta Particles

Abstract

The purpose of this research is determination of some atomic parameters such as: mass attenuation coefficient, particle range, radiation length, both radiative and collisional stopping powers and the total stopping power for beta particles in the energy range 0.15MeV to 0.764MeV in elements carbon, copper and silver by using different empirical equations. The most obtained results are compared with other pervious works shows good agreement and proved a dependence mostly on the beta particle energy and atomic number of target material.
