الموقف التركي من التحولات في المنطقة العربية

Abstract

It was the end of 2010 to the beginning of the changes in the Arab region, began in Tunisia then Egypt, Libya, Yemen and Syria . The goal of these changes is to bring down all the dictatorships that ruled these countries for a period of almost three decades. There is no doubt, that the political situation , economic and social conditions were of the most prominent motives behind these transformations to change the ruling regimes. As far as Turkey's attitude toward the changes in the Arab region, we saw that Turkey has taken different attitudes about these transformations. It didn't take any attitude towards the Tunisian revolution and expressed its support for democracy, in Egypt, the attitude was very different, Turkey has confirmed the need to step down Egyptian President Mohammad Hosni Mubarak from power, and the need for rapid democratic transition in. While Turkey was very hesitating about the Libyan revolution, it showed Turkey's refusal to use force against the Libyan regime's ruling, this is due to the fear of Turkey that it may be put its economic interests in Libya to damage, then Turkey change its attitude after the excessive use of violence and force by the Libyan system towards the people , and soon Turkey recognized the Libyan transitional council. As for Syria, it was similar attitude to the events of Libya, Turkey demanded the Syrian regime to resort to constitutional reforms fast, but due to the excessive use of force by the Syrian regime against its people , Turkey demanded Syrian president to step down from power.
