تأثير بكتريا حامض اللاكتيك ورواشحها على طفيلي Cryptosporidium parvum وطفيلي Giardia lamblia في الفئران

Abstract

This study includes isolation and purification of Cryptosporidium parvum oocysts from calves suffering from severe diarrhea and Giardia lamblia cysts from patients suffering from severe diarrhea. These cysts where used to make experimental infection to study the effect of Lactococcus lactis and concentrated filtrates as a treatment for these parasites and to compare with spiramycin and metronedizole (flagyl) . These mice showed high and quick response when treated with suspension of bacterial cells, which led to suspend shedding of Cryptosporidium oocysts and Giardia cysts after 12 and 7 days, with treatment efficiency of 92.6% and 61.3% respectively. The concentrated filtrates showed less efficiency in treatment. The suspended shedding occurs after 20 and 8 days with treatment efficiency of 78.4% and 26.8%, respectively compared with spiramycin and flagyl which achieved treatment efficiency of 79.1% and 52.9% respectively.
